BATS 16S rRNA pyrosequencing time- and depth-series
Nucleic acid samples from almost 400 samples taken roughly monthly from 1991-2004, including random depth profile series, were PCR amplified using barcoded 16S rRNA primers in the V1-V2 region and sequenced using 454 pyrosequencing FLX technology. Approximately 6000 sequences were generated per sample. Underrepresented samples on plates 1-6 were repeated on plate 7 to generate better coverage. |  |  | |
