Importance of organism and transcriptomes | The diatom Thalassiosira gravida is an important primary producer in polar and subpolar planktonic ecosystems in both the northern and southern hemispheres. Beyond its distribution and abundance very little is known about its physiology. Transcript data will provide new opportunities to examine the physiology and ecology of T. gravida. |
