Importance of organism and transcriptomes | The genus Ceratium represents a prominent mixotrophic dinoflagellate group. The transcriptome will provide information on gene expression as a function of light level, and possibly help identify genes indicative of hetero- vs. phototrophy. Ultimately, we aim to use these data to quantify mixotrophy in situ. |
