Importance of organism and transcriptomes | Cyanoptyche gloeocystis (Pascher, 1929) is colonial a Glaucophyte and represent one of the only two species described in the order Gloeochaetales (Kies and Kremer, 1986). This particular isolate was collected in Portugal 1989. Despite the evolutionary relevance of Glaucophytes the genomic data available for this algal lineage is very limited. We aim to study genetic diversity within this early diverging algal group. |
